Firing artillery
In 1918, the Paris Gun was a state of the art Geman artillery, with a muzzle velocity of 1.61*10^3 m/s. It was set up at Laon, France, wit the intent of shelling Paris, a horizontal distance of 1.08*10^5 m away. If the gun is fired such that is hits its target, how long would the shell take to reach the target (ignore the curvature of the Earth)?
