Potential energy of capacitor

A capacitor and battery are connected in a circuit with the switch initially keeping the circuit open. a) The switch is closed, b) then a dielectric is placed into the capacitor, and c)the switch is opened and the capacitor is taken out.

At each step a), b), and c) does the potential energy of the capacitor increase, decrease, or stay the same.
